The Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is a large primeval forest located in south-western Uganda in the Kanungu District bordering Congo and Rwanda. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is on the edge of the Albertine Rift, the western branch of the East African Rift, home to half of the world’s population of gorillas. The Park is on mountainous, densely forested terrain, best known for viewing rare mountain gorillas.
