Bazaruto Island lies in Bazaruto National Park, off the coast of southern Mozambique. Resorts dot the island’s white beaches, and it’s known for marine life like turtles and dugong. The clear waters of Two Mile Reef are filled with colorful fish, reef sharks and moray eels, while the deeper area in Indigo Bay is home to sailfish and marlin. The Quirimbas Island Archipelago form part of the Qurimbas National Park, just off the northern coast of Mozambique. It's chosen for spectacular coral reef scenery and rare sightings of dolphins and dugongs.

A coastal town, named after a local tribal chief, Vilanculos behaves as a gateway to the archipelago. Charming dhow cruises and helicopter rides are available to cross to each island within the Bazaruto Park.
