Enasoit Game Sanctuary is situated on the Laikipia Plateau, at the foot of Mount Kenya. Set within a natural wildlife corridor, Enasoit is a haven for game watching, and welcomes up to 16 guests on an exclusive-hire basis.

Guests stay at Enasoit Private Camp, a beautifully appointed luxury camp with 6 double / twin en-suite tented cottages which overlook a busy wildlife watering-hole. Giraffe, zebra and gazelle graze quietly in front of Camp, elephant and buffalo regularly come to drink, and the bird-life is vibrant.

The 6 double / twin tented cottages at Enasoit Camp are cleverly constructed from canvas, thatch and permanent local materials. Each room has a fireplace, a private veranda and a comfortable seating area with sheepskin sofas for morning tea and game viewing. Bathrooms are en-suite with flush toilets and hot-pressure showers.

Life in camp revolves around the spacious mess-tent. There is a wooden deck for game- viewing and drinks, as well as a dining and sitting area with a fireplace for the cooler evenings. Our collection of old books on African wildlife and history can be enjoyed by the camp fire. The water-hole, which is barely 50 metres away, is lit up at night and provides unparalleled nocturnal game viewing. Guests staying at the camp can also request the helicopter for flying safaris, game viewing and scenic flights, prior to advanced booking and availability.

Room Types

Luxury Tented Cottages

The 6 tented cottages and large family tent are situated around the waterhole, which attracts a busy array of wildlife, easily visible from the tent verandahs.

The tents are carefully constructed using canvas and local materials, combining the
romance of living ‘under canvas’ with the comfort of a permanent structure.

Each tent has an en-suite bathroom, wooden floors, a sitting area with a fireplace and private verandah.

Life in camp revolves around the open-sided Mess Tent, which overlooks the waterhole. By day, the Mess Tent offers a comfortable shaded spot from which to enjoy the wildlife and views across the plain. At night, a campfire is lit in front of the Mess Tent for pre-dinner drinks and sightings of Enasoit’s nocturnal wildlife.

Family Tented Cottage

The new Family Tented Cottage consists of two large, inter-leading en-suite bedrooms. There is a lounge and living space in the center and spacious deck / veranda out front that runs the length of the cottage, with beautiful views out on to the hills and wilderness.

Pool House

The Pool House is nestled beside one of Enasoit’s dramatic rock outcrops, and is a five minute drive or comfortable 20 minute walk from Camp. The Pool House is set within an aloe garden and is a great location for lunches and relaxed afternoons.

Within the Pool House gardens there are two thatched double cottages, which can be used as additional accommodation for larger groups.
