Itinerary
Your Africa discovery journey begins in Zimbabwe.
Witness one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Famous for the jaw-dropping waterfalls that earned it the local name of Mosi-oa-Tunya (The Smoke That Thunders), the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Victoria Falls lies between Zimbabwe and Zambia.
For two nights, you will stay at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge. This luxurious lodge lies a short distance from the Falls.
Experience the magic of the Falls. Get your heart rate up with adventure activities ranging from bungee jumping to white-water rafting. Take a game drive to see the many wildlife species found in the region. Try a scenic flight over the Falls to take in its staggering beauty. By the time you leave, you are sure to have fallen in love with Africa’s iconic Victoria Falls.
The next part of your journey takes you to the Chobe River.
This river lies between Zimbabwe, Namibia, and Botswana. It is home to some of the best wildlife viewing on the planet, with many species to be seen. Elephants are found in the thousands here, with hundreds at a time making their way over the river during the elephant crossing. Birdlife is equally rich, and many species can be seen on the water and on the shore.
For the next two nights, you will be able to take in all this beauty from one of the deluxe Chobe Princess houseboats. Smaller boats can be used for game viewing, birding, or fishing. Unwind on your private deck. Spot game along the shoreline. Relax in the upper deck bar and lounge. Take a dip in the plunge pool. Relish each moment as you drift along the Chobe River and take in the sights around you to remember forever.
The final stop on your journey is Impala Island.
As your journey nears completion, you will arrive on Impalila Island. Nestled on secluded Impalila Island in Namibia, far from the hustle and bustle of your daily life, this popular tiger fish lodge offers the best location to enjoy Chobe River fishing, birding and wildlife spotting – the perfect safari experience.
During an unforgettable final three nights, you will be based at Ichingo Chobe River Lodge on the Namibian side of the Chobe River. Peaceful, quiet, and intimate, this lodge offers the perfect destination to take in the beauty of Chobe’s lush floodplains and riverine woodlands. Wildlife in this region includes elephant, hippo, giraffe, buffalo, zebra, antelope, and many others. Wake up in your luxurious tent to the dawn chorus of birds. Take to the water for some fishing. Set forth on a photo safari or a game drive. Experience a cultural tour. Fall in love with Chobe and take-home memories to last a lifetime.
