Porini Birds & Big Game Safari combines a stay at all Porini Camps in four of Kenya’s finest wildlife areas. Porini Amboseli Camp located in the Selenkay Conservancy, Porini Rhino Camp located in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Porini Mara Camp located in Ol Kinyei Conservancy and Porini Lion Camp located in the Olare Motorogi Conservancy adjacent to the Mara Reserve. Porini Birds & Big Game Safari Camps are small and exclusive and run on the same environmentally sound principles – working closely with the local communities. All camps are specially designed to have minimum impact with no permanent structures. Perfect for small groups and families to enjoy African wonders together
Day 1 Porini Amboseli Camp
Pickup from Nairobi at 9am and transfer by safari minibus to Porini Amboseli Camp (a 5 hour journey of 128 miles), arriving at camp before lunch. (NB optional flight upgrade at a supplement). Following afternoon tea, you will be escorted on a walk by Maasai warriors to a village to get an insight into their fascinating culture and way of life. Then take a game drive in the conservancy stopping for a sundowner at a scenic spot overlooking Kilimanjaro, followed by a night game drive to look for nocturnal animals such as aardvarks, serval cats, caracals, bat-eared foxes, African wild cats, and other species. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 2 Porini Amboseli Camp
Awake to the noisy calls of the birds. After an early breakfast, we drive through the bush on our private track into Amboseli National Park, for a full morning of game viewing. Following a picnic lunch in the park, we return to camp later in the afternoon. In the evening you will have a sundowner on an observation platform overlooking a waterhole by the camp, where elephants and other animals often come to drink. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 3 Porini Rhino Camp
Early breakfast and then drive through Amboseli park to the airstrip for the 9am flight to Wilson, connecting onto the 10.20h flight to Nanyuki (arriving at 11.30h). You will be met at the airstrip and transferred to Porini Rhino Camp, located in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, in the foothills of Mount Kenya. Lunch and afternoon tea in camp and then head off on a game drive with your driver-guide in the camp’s 4×4 safari vehicle. Return to Porini Rhino Camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 4 Porini Rhino Camp
Full day in Ol Pejeta with game drives and walking activities from camp. Dinner and overnight at Porini Rhino Camp.
Day 5 Porini Mara Camp
Depart Porini Rhino Camp and fly from Nanyuki on the 09.45 Safarilink flight to Mara arriving at 11.00.You’ll be met at the Naboisho Ol Seki airstrip by Porini Mara Camp staff and transferred to camp. Settle into your tent and enjoy lunch prepared by the camp chef. Afternoon game drive in the Ol Kinyei Conservancy, with a sundowner at a scenic spot followed by a night game drive with spotlights to search for nocturnal animals, including the elusive leopards which are resident in Ol Kinyei, before heading back to camp for dinner. Overnight at Porini Mara Camp.
Day 6 Porini Mara Camp
Awake to the natural sounds of the Mara’s birdlife. Leave camp soon after dawn to explore the Ol Kinyei Conservancy on the lookout for elephants, buffalo, giraffe, plains game and the big cats. You will have a bush breakfast out in the wilds and then return to camp for lunch. In the afternoon you will have a further game drive in Ol Kinyei and Naboisho Conservancies with a sundowner at a scenic spot before heading back to camp for dinner. Overnight at Porini Mara Camp.
Day 7 Porini Lion Camp
After breakfast leave camp and drive through Ol Kinyei and Naboisho Conservancies, game-viewing as you go, and on to Olare Motorogi Conservancy arriving at Porini Lion Camp for lunch. Afternoon game drive in the exclusive Olare Motorogi Conservancy, away from the minibuses and tourist vehicles seen in the reserve, and with an excellent chance of sighting lions, cheetahs and leopards all of which are found in the conservancy. Sundowner and night game drive. Overnight Porini Lion Camp.
Day 8 Porini Lion Camp
A full day spent on a game drive in the famous Masai Mara Reserve with a picnic lunch in the park and then return to Porini Lion Camp in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Porini Lion Camp.
Day 9 Departure
Early morning game drive in the conservancy returning for breakfast. Mid-morning transfer to the airstrip for the 11am flight back to Nairobi’s Wilson airport (arriving 12.15h). Porini Birds & Big Game Safari ends here!!!

Pick up in Nairobi then shared road transfer to Amboseli, 2 nights in Porini Amboseli Camp with daily Selenkay Conservancy fees and one day Amboseli National Park entrance fee, Maasai village visit then afterwards check out and fly to Wilson Airport where you will connect to another schedule flight to Nanyuki Airstrip, met and transferred to Porini Rhino Camp for 2 nights with daily Ol Pejeta Conservancy fees and visit to Chimpanzee Sanctuary, afterwards check out and fly to Ol Seki Airstrip, met and transferred to Porini Mara Camp for 2 nights with daily Ol Kinyei & Naboisho Conservancy fees, then afterwards check out and game drive en-route via Naboisho Conservancy and into Olare Motorogi Conservancy to arrive at Porini Lion Camp for 2 nights with daily Olare Motorogi Conservancy fees and one day Masai Mara Game Reserve entrance fee, the four camps are based on full board basis including soft drinks, beer, house wine, gin & tonic, mineral water, return conservancy airstrip transfers, day & night shared game drives in open sided 4×4 safari vehicle with qualified guide, sundowners, walks with Maasai warriors, then last day fly back to Wilson Airport
