Trail of Botswana explored with this 6 night itinerary beginning in an exclusive  wildlife concession, winding through Moremi Game Reserve to a Delta island,  and ending in Chobe’s revered Savuti region.


Day 1 – 3 Xaxaba Mobile Camp

Upon arrival at Maun airport, your host from Xaxaba Mobile Camp. Xaxaba Mobile Camp is located on a private island deep within the heart of the Okavango Delta, a world-heritage site renown for its abundance of wildlife. This is a true rustic, wilderness experience ideal for the wild at heart.

This is the perfect place for an intimate crowd that favours an authentic “glamping” experience where the focus is on game viewing, activities and staying in a remote location. Expect mokoro trips in traditional canoes, fishing and visits to the local community village. There’s even an opportunity to celebrate golden hour in a special sundowner spot on the banks of the intricate waterways. 

Dinner will be served in the dining tent, followed by your first night in the Botswana wilderness.

Day 3 : Xaxaba – Camp Savuti

Early morning wakeup call followed by coffee and breakfast at Xaxaba before you embark on the transfer by light aircraft through the Moremi Game reserve to Camp Savuti.

Day 4 –Camp Savuti

The Savuti Marsh, fed by the Savuti Channel, has developed a reputation over the years as one of the world’s premier predator viewing areas, boasting one of the highest concentrations of wildlife on the African continent. Camp Savuti overlooks the dense Savuti marsh area and all 5 of the Meru-style tented rooms have elevated balconies taking advantage of these views.

Day 5 – Camp Savuti – Taita Falcon Lodge

Wake up early to coffee and breakfast in the dining tent on Camp Savuti before departing the Savuti Channel and heading for the Falcon Lodge. Nestled above the Zambezi River, overlooking its winding waters and the dramatic cliffs of the Batoka Gorge lies Taita Falcon Lodge. This wilderness retreat is located in the heart of Zambia, downriver from the mighty Victoria Falls.

The lodge itself was designed to showcase the dramatic views that surround it. With its vast viewing platform, open-air bar and lounge perched over the sheer cliffs, it’s the perfect place to sit and take in Zambia’s scenic vistas. Winding stone lined pathways lead the way through the grounds from the main lodge, bar, pool and boma area around to the secluded chalets.

There are various walks to explore the gorge and the indigenous forests, where ancient Mopani’s, white seringas, marulas, leadwoods and African star chestnuts dot the diverse landscape. Beyond the lodge there are a vast array of activities to suit everyone, from thrill seekers to wildlife lovers. Experience the falls in all its wonder on foot, on the water and even from the air, there are more ways than one to discover this part of wild Zambia. 

Day 6 – Falcon Lodge

Early morning wakeup call followed by a quick continental breakfast and coffee before departing on morning game drive. Enjoy a lengthy game drive and bush walks and time to stop for coffee and rusks at a stretch point in the park. Return to Lodge and enjoy a good lunch before relaxing or enjoying the view from your private deck. high tea is served at the lodge later in the afternoon and is followed by an afternoon game drive complete with sundowners in the bush. as the sun sets, return to camp and enjoy the open-air campfire and a special dinner out on the deck under the stars.

Day 7- Falcon Lodge – Livingstone Airport

On the last morning of your safari you will receive a wakeup call followed by breakfast and coffee at the lodge before departing. Enjoy the last transfer to Livingstone Airport
