When to visit
South Africa is a year-round destination: different parts of the country are more attractive at different times of the year.
Best time to go on wildlife safaris especially in Kruger, Madikwe and/or KwaZulu Natal is during the winter season when it is very dry. Animals congregate around watering holes, making them easier to spot and perfect for photographic safaris too
Visit the Mother City all year round. Enjoy active, cultural, gastronomic and family experiences at any point in time. South African is considers as a world in its own, regardless of season or time of year you always have something to enjoy. Summer season between November and March are the best times to visit. The weather is wonderful and the city and surrounding areas like the Winelands comes alive. However it is very important to book way in advance to ensure that you secure your place on time.
In contrast, the coastal and lowland regions are generally warm year-round. Rainfall also varies across South Africa and the entire country is overall a dry one: the Western Cape has its rainy season in the winter, while the rest of the country receives its rain in the summer. Soon after its spring and the West Coast wildflowers explode into kaleidoscopic carpets for as far as the eye can see.
