With sprawling world class beaches along the Indian ocean, Mozambique is one of Africa’s more tropical holiday destinations. With plenty of island archipelagos, rare marine life and conservation sites and a 250km stretch of coral, Mozambique brings you new kinds of magic with every visit.
Experience Mozambique’s white sparkling beaches and unique marine tourism offering:
Part of the Bazaruto National Park territory, the Bazaruto Archipelago's pristine beaches, sand dunes, coral reefs and rare marine life attract tourists from around the world on a regular basis.
A coastal toown, named after a local tribal chief, Vilanculos behaves as a gateway to the archipelago. Charming dhow cruises and helicopter rides are available to cross to each island within the Bazaruto Park.
The Quirimbas Island Archipelago form part of the Qurimbas National Park, just off the northern coast of Mozambique. It's chosen for spectacular coral reef scenery and rare sightings of dolphins and dugongs.
Bazaruto Island lies in Bazaruto National Park, off the coast of southern Mozambique. Resorts dot the island’s white beaches, and it’s known for marine life like turtles and dugong. The clear waters of Two Mile Reef are filled with colorful fish, reef sharks and moray eels, while the deeper area in Indigo Bay is home to sailfish and marlin. Traditional dhow boats run to nearby islands Santa Carolina and Benguerra
Winter time in Mozambique is between May to October, but its tropical climate makes winter an ideal time to visit if you want to avoid the extreme humidity during the summer months of December, January and February. Most travellers choose to enjoy Mozambique from August, onwards, before the western school year restarts. This is partly because of the wide variety of watersports and family activities on offer, including whale watching between June and October each year.
